倍数表达法
1.one third/half/twice/three times/etc. + as...as...表示倍数
例如：
He will be earning only half as much as he used to.
【译文】他的收人很快会变成仅是过去的一半。
Their house is one third as large as ours.
【译文】他们房子的面积是我们房子面积的三分之一。
Her husband is twice as old as as she(is).
【译文】她丈夫的年纪比她大一倍。
This room is three times as large as that one.
【译文】这个房间是那个房间的三倍大。
2.one third/half/twice/three times/etc. + the...表示倍数

【译文】他的收人很快会变成仅是过去的一半。
The birth rate in the year of 2000 is twice that in 1999.
