Field Service Engineer
Responsibilities:
1. Perform a wide variety of start-up, maintenance, and repair services with no (minimum) assistance and guidance from in house support staff.
2. Analyze, troubleshoot, and service related systems beyond the equipment Siemens supplies.
3. Provide customer training (on- and off-site).
4. Assist in training of newly hired field service engineer.
5. Communicate with customers to ensure customer satisfaction; especially in problematic / dissatisfied customer situations.
6. Complete required field documentation and reports and electronically transmit appropriate completed reports (i.e. job related field service report, expense report, etc.) in a timely fashion as dictated by company policy and departmental procedures.
7. Travel as required – both domestic and international.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor or higher degree of engineering in power electronics or motor or industry automation.
2. At least 2 years hands on experience with drives and motors
3. Possess working knowledge of PLC programming and software oriented systems.
4. Possess strong background and working knowledge as a specialist of at least one type of product offering (i.e. Power Control Systems) and typically is able to be used cross functionally on a wide variety of ASIRobicon product offerings.
5. Possess proven/demonstrated strong customer relation’s skills and ability to handle dissatisfied customers.
6. Proven/demonstrated systems expertise and the ability to work with analysis, troubleshooting, and service related to the systems beyond the equipment we supply.
7. Fluent in written and spoken English
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
9. Computer skills required, including Microsoft Office.
10. Ability to function in a team environment.
11. Ability to work flexible hours and travel.
